Whether it's a multi-week, multinational sponsored event or a one day executive level conference, ASFT has experienced and professional personnel ready to accommodate specific event needs. ASFT has demonstrated the capability to provide for the personal needs of event attendees including providing meals, arranging accommodations, coordinating security clearances and ensuring safety as well as the physical requirements of the event such as conference room coordination, arranging for transportation, providing computing capabilities and when required, development of a event specific WEB Site for information and registration.

When the Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Newport, Rhode Island needed to host a three week event for the Navy's Office of Naval Research (ONR) Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) program, they called upon ASFT to assist. “AUVfest” was a test demonstration of AUVs in a mine countermeasure and detection environment, as well as demonstrating their role for use in marine archaeology. ASFT successfully managed US Navy Reserve (USNR) personnel for security, range safety and data collection efforts and personally managed:

  • Generation of a Data Collection and Archival Plan (DCAP)
  • Coordination and movement of over 100 AUVfest participants

Additionally, ASFT managed USNR personnel to coordinate with and direct a documentary film crew associated with AUVfest. The resulting films have been aired in New England as well as are on display in an exhibit at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington DC.

Specific experience also includes the management of the annual Office of Naval Research (ONR) Multidisciplinary Systems Design and Optimization (MSDO) Program Review. This event is the annual meeting of ONR MSDO technology stakeholders across multiple disciplines. This conference has a focus on collaboration, and is committed to fostering the exchange of ideas, identifying core issues and objectives, and discussing problem resolutions. ASFT managed all aspects of this event providing an excellent networking opportunity for engineering and technology stakeholders such as government representatives, academia, and commercial participants.
